CVPR 2025: Presenting Research at CV4Science and CV4Animals Workshops
June 11-15, 2025
I had an amazing time at CVPR 2025! It was incredible to meet so many new people and amazing researchers, and add so many papers to my to-be-read list. The conference was held in Nashville, Tennessee from June 11-15, 2025, and I am especially grateful to JAX Education for supporting me with a travel award to be able to attend.
This year, I had the opportunity to present at two workshops: CV4Science and CV4Animals. Our paper, "Evaluating keypoint choice for data-efficient mouse behavior classification", was peer-reviewed and accepted into the CV4Animals workshop. This research evaluates how keypoint selection affects behavior classification in mice, and we found that adding more behavior data (rather than more keypoints) consistently improves performance. You can check out our paper here.
The bird walk in particular was a blast, and I got to meet so many people and see Merlin Sound ID in action. CVPR is one of the premier international conferences in computer science that brings together researchers in computer vision, and being able to present my work and connect with the community was an amazing experience.
